Basic structural and functional factors in families of the Mundo Felizneighborhood of Galapa, Atlántico

Abstract

This article analyzed one hundred families located in the Mundo Feliz neighborhood of the Municipality of Galapa, in the Department of Atlántico, in order to unveil the basic structural and functional factors from a psychosocial approach. The variables of affectivity, communication, productive forms, discourses, common projects and socioeconomic conditions were evaluated. In the theoretical-conceptual foundation, the postulates of Scorsolini-Comin, (2022), Veloza-Morales, Forero Beltrán and Rodríguez-González (2023), Lares Gutiérrez and Rodríguez González (2021), among others, are assumed. The research paradigm is mixed, participatory action research was used; with triangulation of three data collection instruments, such as the semi- structured interview, the familiogram (Murray, 1978) and the Adaptation, Participation, Gain, Affect and Resources (APGAR) Family questionnaire (Smilkstein, 1987). It was concluded that the families studied presented a primacy of nuclear and female single-parent family typologies, with a number of members from 3 to 4, legally legal unions such as marriage prevail, the role of caregiver is assumed by the woman, the economic provider is the man, more than fifty percent of the members nterviewees have a formal job, productive economic activities are carried out within the same home, the most used norm and rule is dialogue as a corrective measure, they share favorable psychosocial activities among themselves, it is concluded that 76% of the families studied according to the APGAR suggests excellent family function and finally within the five basic components of the APGAR the one with the greatest presence was gain or growth and the one with the least presence was affection.
