Intellectual Property and Licensing Policy
At Nexus House Editorial, we recognize intellectual property as a cornerstone of knowledge creation, innovation, and academic recognition. Our policies aim to protect authors’ rights while fostering an ethical and transparent publishing environment.
1. Open Access Statement
Nexus House Editorial operates under an open access model. All published content is freely available without restrictions. Users may read, download, share, print, and link to full texts without needing prior permission from the publisher or authors, as long as the license terms are respected.
This policy aligns with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and the standards of the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
2. Copyright
-
License transfer for publishing purposes: By accepting publication, authors grant Nexus House Editorial the rights to distribute, archive, and protect their article. All works are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0).
-
Author’s retained rights: Authors retain key rights, such as:
-
Reusing the article in books or academic compilations.
-
Sharing it through personal websites, institutional repositories, or academic networks.
-
Using it for educational or non-commercial purposes.
-
In all cases, proper citation of the original publication and preservation of the license are required.
3. Licensing Terms
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, which allows to:
-
Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
-
Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material.
Under the following terms:
-
Attribution: You must give appropriate credit to the author, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.
-
NonCommercial: You may not use the material for commercial or profit-making purposes.
-
No additional restrictions: You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
4. Plagiarism and Use of Third-Party Material
-
Plagiarism policy: All submissions are screened using PLAGIUS software. Manuscripts with more than 25% similarity—including AI-generated content—will be returned to the authors or rejected outright.
-
Third-party content: Authors must obtain proper permissions for using materials (images, text, figures, etc.) from external sources and cite them accurately.
-
Consequences: Plagiarism is treated as a serious violation. Identified cases may result in rejection or retraction, and the authors’ affiliated institutions will be notified.
5. Authors’ Responsibility
-
Originality declaration: Authors must sign a statement confirming the originality of their work and compliance with intellectual property policies.
-
Legal accountability: Any legal disputes regarding IP violations are the sole responsibility of the authors, not of Nexus House Editorial.
6. Commitment to Ethical Practice
Nexus House Editorial is committed to fostering a responsible, ethical, and transparent publishing culture. Through these policies, we aim to safeguard author rights and ensure that all intellectual contributions are respected and properly managed.
