Complaints and Appeals Policy

At Nexus House Editorial, we are committed to transparency, editorial integrity, and the highest standards of publication ethics. This policy outlines the procedures for handling complaints and appeals in a fair and impartial manner.


Submitting a Complaint

Complaints may be submitted via email to editor@nexushouse.org, including the following details:

  • Complainant’s full name

  • Title of the article in question

  • Detailed description of the issue

  • Supporting documentation (if applicable)


Complaint Handling Procedure

  • Acknowledgment: A confirmation of receipt will be sent within 8 business days.

  • Initial Assessment: The editorial team will evaluate the complaint and issue a preliminary response within 15 business days.

  • Investigation: If necessary, the journal will conduct a thorough investigation involving relevant parties such as authors or reviewers.

  • Resolution:

    • A final decision and its rationale will be communicated to the complainant.

    • If the complaint is upheld, corrective actions may include:

      • Retraction of the article

      • Publication of a correction or clarification

      • Disciplinary measures against those responsible (if applicable)


Right to Appeal

If the complainant is not satisfied with the outcome of the complaint, they have the right to appeal. This ensures that all concerns are addressed with fairness and transparency.


Appeals Procedure

  • How to Appeal: Appeals must be submitted in writing to editor@nexushouse.org, clearly stating the reasons for the appeal and including any relevant supporting documents.

  • Timeframe: Appeals must be submitted within 15 business days after the initial decision is communicated.

  • Independent Review: A separate panel from the editorial board will review the appeal to ensure impartiality, taking into account all documentation and arguments presented.

  • Outcome Notification: The final decision will be communicated to the appellant along with a clear explanation of the rationale behind the ruling.
