Open Access Policy Statement
Nexus (MIR) operates in full accordance with the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) definition of Open Access. We recognize that Open Access extends beyond free online availability and requires clear definition of user rights and copyright terms.
Our journal follows a Libre Open Access model. All published content is made freely accessible online without price barriers, and we remove permission barriers by clearly specifying reuse rights through open licensing. This ensures that readers, researchers, and institutions can lawfully use, share, and build upon our published work within the terms of the license applied.
We acknowledge that different levels of reuse permissions exist under various open licenses (such as Creative Commons licenses). Therefore, Nexus (MIR) provides transparent licensing information for every article, ensuring that user rights and conditions for reuse — including redistribution, adaptation, and potential commercial use where applicable — are clearly defined.
Consistent with DOAJ principles, copyright ownership and licensing terms are explicitly stated. While we strongly support author retention of copyright, we also ensure that, in cases where copyright is transferred fully or partially to the publisher, all articles remain licensed under a recognized open license that guarantees continued open access and reuse rights.
Through this policy, Nexus (MIR) affirms its commitment to sustainable, transparent, and rights-based Open Access publishing in alignment with DOAJ standards.
